A Double For Today.

No luck with the selection yesterday, Prince Taime who failed to justify our confidence in him. We’ll keep him in mind though as we feel strongly that he is capable of winning races of the type  he competed in yesterday. In this game disappointments sometimes comes your way but the object of our study is to avoid as much as possible, such disappointments. We therefore turn our attention to today’s fare and we do like the chances of two horses entered up at Wetherby. The first one runs in the first race on the card, the 1.15 and our selection here is the No8 horse,SCOGLIO.This one made his hurdles debut in his last start which was in the Triumph Hurdle trial at Cheltenham where he was 150/1 in the betting at the off. That race had a couple of horses that are being  touted as possible contenders for top honors at the Cheltenham  festival in March. Our selection did not run at all badly, certainly not like a 150/1 shot.He was steady throughout and faded only in the final 2 furlongs and eventually finished in 5th spot out of seven runners.Beaten he was,but in our estimation ,certainly not disgraced.SCOGLIO  therefore, is taken to win this, the opening race of the card.Selection No2 runs in the 3.15 race on the same card and here we look no further than the No2 horse INTO WAIN.This animal has so far run in three Novice Hurdles running well in the first two before storming to an emphatic success in his last start at Kelso. His form figures read 321 and he is quoted at a price of 2/1 for today’s race where his main opposition is the 4/5 fav Ashbrittle.Readers by now would be aware that this page is not keen on tipping short priced horses. However ,we do feel that INTO WAIN can be considered a nap selection and therefore advise that he be played in a double with our first selection ,SCOGLIO [16/1].We are very upbeat about the chances of both these horses.Best of luck to you all and remember to share this post with others as one good turn will be rewarded with another.
