More to look forward today.

A most disappointing run from our selection yesterday Flemi Two Shoes. He never looked like he would take a hand in the finish and he ended up well and truly beaten.[Our other selection on this post was a non runner].We have identified two horses on today’s card at Warwick  that both seem capable of winning their respective races and as usual we want to share this information with our readers. The first of this dynamic duo  is entered in the 2.25 race ,a  Handicap Hurdle, for class 3 horses going    3mls/1fur.We think that victory in this race will go the way of  the No5 horse,BELLFLOWER BOY who registered a victory over this course and distance  in his last start. In that race,  he beat Spirit Of Barbados by 8 lengths and he appeared to be full of running at the end.We feel there is much more to come from this one  and he is confidently expected to be on the premises at the business end of the race. One hour later ,and also at Warwick  in the 3.25 race,we will be placing our bets on the No2 horse,OCKEY DE NEULLIAC.This is a Handicap  Chase class4 ,over a distance of 2mls/4furs.This is a horse who is in very good heart at present having  dispatched his opponents with the minimum of fuss in his last start which was over today’s trip of 2mls 4furs .He has already visited the winners enclosure 3 times this season and  we are backing him to make it victory no 4.                            BET,2.25 WARWICK :NO5   BELL FLOWER BOY .                                                               BET,3.25 WARWICK :NO2   OCKEY DE NEULLIAC.

Not A Bad Result Yesterday.

This blog did not fare too badly yesterday when our three selections all made the frame including one winner in the lot.Of course we had hoped for better on the day but are nevertheless pleased with our meager winnings. This blog is eagerly looking forward to this weekend’s racing which promises to be absolutely riveting and readers can look forward to our selections which will be posted right here as usual.Looking at today’s card we have come to certain conclusions regarding two of today’s entrants.Selection No1 runs in the 3.00 at Hereford, and he’s the No1 horse, FLEMI TWO SHOES.This one is an animal in top form and he is quite capable  of taking this race in spite of the weight allotted to him.He is now two from three in races won and those victories came over 2mls 5furs and 2mls 6 furs. What is likeable about his performances  is his ability to slip his field leaving his rivals toiling in his wake .We expect today  to see a repeat of his last victory which came over today’s trip at Folkestone  where  he stormed clear for an emphatic success.Flemi Two Shoes therefore gets the vote in the 3.00 at Hereford.Selection No2 runs in the 7.10 at Kempton park. He  also is the No1  horse in this race ,JAMARJO and he is carrying 136lbs in the saddle. He is a course and distance  winner but he has also tasted success over further. His last race was won with some degree of authority and that suggests that there is a lot more to come from him and  so we are confident that today he will be recording  another back to back victory,a feat he has   accomplished  previously. We expect this one to win his race today and we’ll be satisfied with odds of 4/1 or better. These two horses could be coupled  as well as backed individually..Greatly appreciate the sharing of this blog by you to others thereby increasing  the readership.

11/1 and 7/4 Win Double at Wetherby yesterday.

What a great day we had yesterday at Wetherby when  both our selections won, convincingly at that, and,at 11/1 and 7/4 respectively. Our advice to our readers was to play both tipped horses in a double bet and I do hope that readers took our advice and reaped the benefits thereof  .This post intends to continue finding value selections to share  with you ,my loyal readers. My one request is that you assist me in expanding the reach of this column to a wider reading audience and you can do that by sharing my posts  whenever they are posted. So on to today’s racing and hopefully, another successful day.Strangely I’m going to back three favorites today which is a bit of a departure from the usual outsiders that I  normally go for. I’m attracted to these three horses because  of their outstanding vein of  form which for me , makes them irresistible. The first of this trio runs in the 2.20  at Southwell and he is the 5/2 fav ,MAZIJ.This one is in top form and going for the beaver trick. He is a C/D winner and really I don’t see anything here to upset the applecart.Selection no2 runs in the 4.10 at Leicester and here I shall look no further than the fav. ,MUJAMEAD.This horse is enjoying himself at the moment and comes here after a very easy victory in his last start. He is difficult to oppose and I”ll do no such thing. The final selection runs in the last race of the day,the 5.30 at Kempton.TORRES DEL PAINE  last ran on Sunday over the C/D.He was held up in last place for the first 5 furs of the race and  then let loose  a telling burst of  speed which saw him go past his nine rivals in  the space of the final furlong.A repeat of that would see him easily taking this race   and I see no reason to oppose this one .The odds quoted for these three horses are 5/2>11/4> and 5/2 .A treble on these three [[should they all oblige] could pay around 30/1.I am going to play all three horses in singles ,doubles and trebles and that  therefore forms the basis of my advice for today , As usual best of luck to you all.

A Double For Today.

No luck with the selection yesterday, Prince Taime who failed to justify our confidence in him. We’ll keep him in mind though as we feel strongly that he is capable of winning races of the type  he competed in yesterday. In this game disappointments sometimes comes your way but the object of our study is to avoid as much as possible, such disappointments. We therefore turn our attention to today’s fare and we do like the chances of two horses entered up at Wetherby. The first one runs in the first race on the card, the 1.15 and our selection here is the No8 horse,SCOGLIO.This one made his hurdles debut in his last start which was in the Triumph Hurdle trial at Cheltenham where he was 150/1 in the betting at the off. That race had a couple of horses that are being  touted as possible contenders for top honors at the Cheltenham  festival in March. Our selection did not run at all badly, certainly not like a 150/1 shot.He was steady throughout and faded only in the final 2 furlongs and eventually finished in 5th spot out of seven runners.Beaten he was,but in our estimation ,certainly not disgraced.SCOGLIO  therefore, is taken to win this, the opening race of the card.Selection No2 runs in the 3.15 race on the same card and here we look no further than the No2 horse INTO WAIN.This animal has so far run in three Novice Hurdles running well in the first two before storming to an emphatic success in his last start at Kelso. His form figures read 321 and he is quoted at a price of 2/1 for today’s race where his main opposition is the 4/5 fav Ashbrittle.Readers by now would be aware that this page is not keen on tipping short priced horses. However ,we do feel that INTO WAIN can be considered a nap selection and therefore advise that he be played in a double with our first selection ,SCOGLIO [16/1].We are very upbeat about the chances of both these horses.Best of luck to you all and remember to share this post with others as one good turn will be rewarded with another.

16/1 Winner Saves The Day.

Seek The Fair Land ,a winner at 16/1 saved the day for us yesterday as our other selections ,runners from Nick Williams’ yard ,failed to hit the board in any of their races. We were bitterly disappointed  by the non performance of this lot and no doubt the trainer must be feeling a lot worse than us .We though were fortunate enough to fall back on the Lingfield winner,Seek the Fair Land who, in beating a 6/4 fav, returned at the fantastic odds of 16/1.It just proves that there is great talent  producing content on this page and so we encourage our readers to keep following us and benefit from our prowess. We have one selection running today and he runs in the 2.30 at Market Rasen. PRINCE TAIME  is our selection here, and a confident one at that. Formerly with Philip Hobbs ,he is ridden today by a pilot who knows him well, Richard Johnson. This is only his second race of this campaign and in his first outing  he was given a tender ride after been off the track for a while. This is an animal which possesses a lot of ability which has to be taken on trust today, but I am confident that as long as he performs in the manner I expect of him ,he would have no trouble in landing the spoils .So my advice today is @ Market Rasen 2.30 :PRINCE TAIME [each way]

Another Winning Saturday Beckons.

Friday’s selection failed to shine as I had hoped he would but it seemed as if the ground conditions may not have been to his liking.I’ll be keeping a close eye on him, especially when the going is more suitable. There is a lot of racing on offer today and, having closely studied a number of races ,I have arrived at a certain conclusion. That conclusion ,my dear friends, is to back all 5 horses sent out by Trainer Nick Williams although, we could discount the last of them SARIKA,because that one runs in a win only 5 horse field. The others that I recommend are at ASCOT 1.00 :ROYALE’S  CHARTER;   WINCANTON 2.10:  DIAMOND  BROOK;  ASCOT3.10:GAUVAIN  and ASCOT3.45:ZAYNAR [nap].It is not that I am sweet on the chances of the Trainer to win all these races .It is the Horses that I am focused on and it just so happens that the one’s which have caught my fancy are all  handled by Trainer NICK WILLIAMS.The first of this lot to race today is Royale’s Charter and in his last 2 starts he has finished 2nd to both Menorah and Khumbeshwar. That convinces me that he is capable of beating this field. The next one up is Diamond Brook who unseated his rider at the first fence in his last outing when sent off as the 3/1 fav. That race ,which saw a number of fallers ,was won by Double Dizzy who is also in today’s race and I rather suspect that connections of our selection are not in any fear of that one.Gauvain is next on the list and he is up against some very good horses. However he is in top form and I expect him to outstay the others in the run to the line.Last but not least is the day’s nap ,Zaynar. When last seen out  he put up a truly scintillating performance making virtually all to run his rivals ragged.I expect a similar result today as I cannot see any Horse in this field getting close. He is far better than any of the other entrants in this race. Looking at the betting odds, the question is ,is there value in backing these selections? Well ,Royale’s Charter is quoted at 8/1 and so he is a fine each way bet.Diamond Brook is in at 12/1,another great each way bet.Gauvain is priced at 8/1 and no need to repeat myself here. Finally Zaynar’s price  may be around 4/1 at the off and,for me personally ,I would be backing this one with win only bets.If you care to be on the safe side though ,you can go each way on this one as well.I would also advise that these four horses be played in doubles ,trebles  or other similar type bets. Before I close,  I do have one running at Lingfield .SEEK THE FAIR LAND is the selection there and he is due to face the starter in the 3.00 race .This one has an outstanding chance in this race and is quoted in the betting at 8/1.So he also is a great each way betting  proposition.Best of luck with the selections and if this column catches your fancy, please feel free to share it with others so that they also may benefit from our advice.

Going One Better Today.

Our selection yesterday ,Third Intention, ran up against a well handicapped runner Ranjaan from the yard of the great Paul Nicholls. In running second ,he was beaten but certainly not disgraced having to concede so much weight to his conqueror. As I had advised each way betting on the selection ,losses if any ,would have been slight. On to today’s  card and our hopes will be pinned on a horse who is a previous course and distance winner at this venue ,Catterick.KNIGHT VALIANT is the selection and he runs in the 2.40 race ,a Handicap Hurdle over a distance of 2mls/3furs.This is a pretty competitive affair but in spite of that fact ,I feel very confident about the chances of this one.Looking at his form figures it shows that his last race was over 2mls/6furs at Wetherby in soft going. He did not run badly and may have found the trip a bit too far.The race  before that was over the C/D and with today’s pilot in the Irons. He was always in contention traveling well and came to the final Hurdle full of running, only to be overtaken by a Horse whose Jockey must be commended for an outstanding ride.Going even further back ,our boy was pulled up after stumbling badly when going well and looking all over the winner.KNIGHT VALIANT therefore, is taken to recoup whatever losses was incurred in  backing him this season. At  the price ,he is value for money.

6/1 Winner yesterday.

Fantastic day yesterday with our sole selection GLENS BOY doing the business at odds of 6/1.Hope my few readers got on the bandwagon and keep following this column for more great selections. We are rounding into form and readers can expect great things from us in the weeks leading up to Cheltenham. As I  said before,we do not rely on any fancy system nor do we charge money for our tips.We burn the midnight oil studying  the form and freely share the fruits of our toil with our readers. We have over 40+ years of experience in the racing business and have a wealth of information in our archives. So keep following this post and tap in to our winning stream.Once again ,we have one selection on the day’s card  and we are hoping for a price of around 8/1.It’ s a competitive handicap hurdle at Taunton {3.20] and in this race  we fancy the chances of Colin Tizzard’s  THIRD INTENTION.This stable did this column a massive service on Saturday with Hey Big Spender winning at 14/1.We believe that further profits awaits us today by backing the stable’s  hurdler in this race. He has had 2 outings this term, both of them in big field hurdle races  and he was not disgraced in either of them[Brampour the winner of both].In my opinion ,this race is an inferior one to the two that he has competed in this term and so I am of the firm view   that THIRD INTENTION  is  the class horse in this race  and therefore ,the horse to beat.I do advise that at the odds, each way bets should be placed.                                                                                                                          Bet 3.20 : Taunton : THIRD INTENTION

A Brighter Tomorrow

Yesterday’s selection failed to past the winning post in the position that was expected of him by me.I was disappointed  in his third place finish but at 4/1 , I decided to back him each way and so I did not lose anything really .Anyway lots of racing to look forward to today and the quality is of a higher standard than the past two days.My selection today runs in the 2.35 @ Newbury and in this race I am looking no further than the likely favorite GLENS BOY.While I am not in the habit of tipping favorites ,in races such as these favorites usually go off at around 9/2. They therefore represent good value  and in this race I think that GLENS BOY is indeed value for money. His last race was one in which he himself did nothing wrong but ended up in second place when rightfully ,he should have finished first. He was always  prominent throughout the race and made his effort after 3 out .He was in the lead with 2 to go and was in command of things on the run to the post when crucially [and cruelly], he was hampered by a loose horse ,a mishap which cost him the race.He was, desperately unlucky, but I predict that compensation awaits him at Newbury today                                                                          BET :Newbury 2.35  GLENS BOY.

Hoping for better luck today.

Did not enjoy the fruits of labor yesterday as our selections did not do us justice. The closest we came was the second place of Sew on Target @17/2. The others failed to fire or perhaps misfired. On the other hand favorite backers took some blows as well with the heavily backed Lady Kathleen falling at the last when well in command and about to pull away from the field. These thing happen, it’s the nature of the game and so we have to accept our losses. At the end of the day  we tend to  our wounds  and press ahead with the task of finding  future winners. At no time are we going to give up or shirk from this task. Our battle with the Bookies will go on and on indefinitely. We’ll have some bad days ,of that I have no doubt ,but with diligence and dedication we will continue to identify winners at a price . Our better days will  far outnumber the bad ones. There will also be days when finding an outsider capable of a winning performance may be hard to find and that might be because it’ just not a day for outsiders but a day for favorites. To me that seems to be the case today as it appears that it’s going to be a good day for favorites So who am I going to back today, that is the question and the answer is OLD MAGIC  the only mount on the card for Paddy Brennan .This one was last seen going  2mls/7 fs at Exeter  which is a long way from today’s venue AYR  He  was beaten that day by a horse that was completing  a four timer The selection ran at a steady pace throughout the race .but at the end it appeared that the trip may have been a bit too far for him . He drops back down in trip today which I think is a plus ,and I take this horse to give the locals, who comprise his opposition,a sound beating.OLD MAGIC at odds of around 11/4 is there fore  my nap selection for the day and  I myself  will be placing a WIN only wager on this one.
